Samp's Hack Shack was founded by former Major League Pitcher
Bill Sampen. Bill is currently Co-Senior Pastor of
Grace Bible Church of Western Indianapolis.
Bill pitched professionally for ten years, spending time in the
Pittsburgh Pirate, Montreal Expo, Kansas City Royal, and the
California Angel organizations including five seasons at the
major league level with the Expos, Royals, and Angels.
"I have had the privilege of spending countless hours of my life
on and around a baseball field. For that, I am quite grateful.
My experiences run from great successes to miserable failures...
from incredible victories to painful defeats. Through it all, I
have learned, win or lose, there are lessons to be learned,
skills to be developed, and experiences to be gained.
Therefore, our philosophy is to use the wonderful game of
baseball to encourage, teach, and instill life lessons and life
skills that will benefit athletes far beyond the mound" (Bill
Sampen).
